The club is situated in Gothenburg, Sweden and is in the Damallsvenskan. The team has not won the Swedish Championship so far, but has been tipped to do so in 2010.

Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC (KGFC) play their home games at Valhalla IP stadium.

This is Hedvig Lindahl’s second season playing for KGFC.

Noteable players who have previously represented the club include Lyon’s Lotta Schelin and American goalkeeper Hope Solo. 2010’s squad includes stars like Linnea Liljegärd, Lisa Dahlqvist and Stina Segerström.

KGFC is lead by football legend Torbjörn Nilsson, who is a former football striker. He is considered to be one of the best Swedish footballer players of all time, having won the Swedish championship twice and the UEFA CUP once with IFK Göteborg. He played for IFK most of his career. Torbjörn Nilsson’s vision is to develop KGFC in to the female version of FC Barcelona.
