Hedvig Lindahl started her football career in Gropptorps IF (GIF), in Södermanland. GIF is a small club situated near by Marmorbyn, which is the village where Hedvig Lindahl grew up. Marmorbyn has a population of only 400 inhabitants.
In her search for bigger football challenges Hedvig Lindahl has gained experience from living in Eskilstuna, Malmö, Linköping and Gothenburg. Clubs she has represented include: DFK Värmbol , Tunafors SK/ present Eskilstuna United, Malmö FF/ present LdB FC Malmö, Linköpings FC and currently: Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC.
Hedvig Lindahl has not only gained a lot of experience through playing in one of the best leagues in the world for many years, but also by participating in big tournaments such as the World Cup (2003, 2007), the Olympics (2004, 2008) and the European Championships (2005, 2009).
Hedvig Lindahl has been certified as a goalkeeper coach since 2008 and as a head coach since june 2010.
